I feel as if I forced Mamie to be my friend. And after re-reading that sentence that sounds creepy! I promise I didn’t mean it that way. :) Anyway, my college roommate, Ashley, and Mamie were in the same Nursing School classes together. All three of us also lived in the same dorm. Whenever Ashley and Mamie would get together to study or eat dinner together, I was usually invited along. (Read: I invited myself along! haha!) Mamie has such a heart of gold. She always sees the best in everyone and I am so glad I made her be my friend. ;) Just last night, while watching the storm activity on TV and making the slideshow below, I cried. Yes. I cried. I can’t believe how much life has changed in the last few years, for all of us. It seems like just yesterday they were playing a flash-card nursing game one night and I randomly threw out my unsolicited answers, because like forcing people to be my friend, apparently I like to play games even when I know I won’t win. (Read: Words With Friends on my iPad. I love that game, but I’m not the best at it.) :)
I always have a great time when I’m near either one of them, so actually seeing them in love this time, made it that much better. I’m not sure exactly when they met, but they met because of Ashley. Jeremy is Ashley’s brother! Yes, now Ashley & Mamie will be sister-in-laws in October. :) Mamie and Jeremy just work. They love openly, and often. Their excitement for each other is really special and a joy to experience. I am so honored to photograph their wedding and I’m very blessed to call them friends. :) Okay, no more talking or smiley faces, here are their engagement photos. Be sure to watch the slideshow at the bottom, as well.
