I can’t remember if Tiffany and I were in my dorm room, her dorm room, or the community living room down the hall from our rooms, but one night early on in our college experience we made a pact to graduation college. We had to graduate or join the Marines. Tiffany fulfilled her end of the bargain last December (you go girl!) and today I will fulfill my end! This morning she text messaged me, “I’m so happy for you and proud that you don’t have to join the Marines or something.” And I laughed out loud and texted back, “I almost blogged about our pact!” haha And she said I definitely should. So I am! :)

Many days during my college career I felt this day would never come. Even this semester, I had days where I felt so overwhelmed that I thought I would never graduate. On Tuesday, after my last college final, I was so relieved! As I walked back to my car, it was surreal to know that I would never have to be on campus for a class again. It also felt good to realize just how much I had accomplished. It’s so weird that today will finally close this chapter. I know that when classes start back in January it will really hit me that I don’t have to go back. I do not know life without school, but I’m really excited about it! :) I could ramble on and on about all the great people I have met in college and all the great memories I made, but I’ll save that for another day.

Thank you, Mom & Dad.

When I think about A & M’s wedding, I think about fun, friends and love! Okay, so when does one not think about love at a wedding? But seriously, it was love-y dove-y-ness all day! One reason it was such a fun day was because I actually knew a lot of the people there. As I mentioned in the teaser post, I went to high school with A & M. And A and I met at the hospital when we were babies. (I’m a day older than her! Happy Birthday on Tuesday, A!)

When A told me her main wedding color was red, I knew it was going to be such an elegant wedding. And her heels! Her red heels! They were to die for! Her bridesmaids dresses were the same elegant red and matched her deep red roses. :) Red is my favorite color. Have I ever mentioned that? :) I got to see A’s dress before during her bridal session and it fit her perfectly. See her bridal session images here: http://bethanyannblog.com/bridal/abridal-portraits/

Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day, with more coming soon on Facebook!

Yes, I had to take more photographs of her red heels:

I adored her cathedral length veil. :)

And I <3 this! James took this one as well:

Thank you, A & M, for allowing me to capture your wedding day. It was so good to hang out with you two and watch you begin your life together as husband and wife. I hope you are loving married life! :) Best wishes!

At first, Andrea & James were not going to have a First Look, where the bride & groom see each other before the ceremony. However, because of weather concerns, they decided to go ahead and have the photos completed ahead of time if the weather was clear. (The weatherman called for rain that day, so everyone was praying for clear skies for their outdoor wedding.) It’s a great way to get the bride & groom portraits, and family & bridal party photos out of the way. It allows everyone to head to reception immediately after the ceremony and not leave guests waiting. As a photographer, and as a bride who had a First Look, I can say without a doubt that it makes the day run so much smoother for everyone involved. Brides and grooms will still have that wow moment when seeing each other during the ceremony, and they will also have a wow moment when seeing each other before, too. And both of them will be captured in photographs! :)

Okay, enough of me trying to convince all my brides and grooms to reduce stress by having a First Look, it’s time to talk about Andrea & James’ September 11th wedding. They were married at Sugar Grove Carriage House and there were plenty of great backgrounds and props to use. All of Andrea & James’ green and brown wedding details translated so well against the country feel of the venue. It was the first time I had photographed there and I’m itching to go back! Andrea & James are so amazing. I love this couple. Like I said in the teaser post, Andrea did not stress the weather, she was too excited about getting married! James is so humorous and loving toward Andrea. I love how he can make her laugh with just one look. These two make me soooo happy! I am so fortunate to have met them and been a part of their wedding day. Okay, no more talk! Photo time! :)
