Remember the teaser pictures from this lovely family?
1

Welcome to their full picture post. (I really hate the word “blog” by the way, so that’s why I use “post” a lot! haha) Anyway! When Kadi asked me to take pictures of her family, I knew we would have fun. As I mentioned in the teaser post, Kadi was one of my high school teachers and her class was one of my favorites. We met at her friend Mandy’s house in Port Royal, TN and it was so beautiful out there. The week before the weatherman called for rain the entire weekend, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day.

This was Kadi & John the whole day; making each other laugh or making the rest of us laugh!

Meet Ty.

He’s a fun kid! It was great getting to know him. I remember him being Ellie’s age when I was in Kadi’s class.

This is Ms. Ellie. She is the spitting image of Kadi. She has the same bright eyes and gorgeous smile. I remember Kadi being pregnant with Ellie my freshman year. I cannot believe how much time has passed!

So, I just had to post this one. It’s too cute. Ellie also has Kadi’s sense of humor. I think she was making that face at her Dad. Just look at that smirk! :)
6

Kadi’s friend Mandy was beside me telling the family about her grocery store experience the day before. It was a funny story, as you can tell by their reaction!

Such a fun, happy, beautiful family!

Kadi & John were also the ones who referred me to my first bride and groom Jessi & Paul. (Thank you again!) I am almost finished editing Jessi & Paul’s wedding, so hopefully I’ll have their full post up sooner rather than later! Until then, take a look at more of Kadi & John’s session here.

Happy Wednesday!

I got lost on my way to meet Tashia & Herb for their wedding. I felt horrible. I thought I knew where I was going but apparently not! (Ever have days like that? Well, it’s definitely not good to have it on someone’s wedding day!) Tashia was so sweet though, she guided me by phone (thank goodness for cell phones!) and when I finally caught a glimpse of her while pulling into the parking lot, I thought “Oh, she’s so cute! I just love her dress!” Tashia & Herb had an intimate wedding in Hopkinsville. I am so glad I was able to photograph their ceremony and take photos after at a nearby park. Here are some teaser pictures from our afternoon together.

Congratulations again Tashia & Herb!

They got married at this cute Chapel of Love. Their moms attended, as well as Tashia’s son Tristan.

Guess what? This is my 50th post! Yah! I am so thankful to everyone who has been in front of my camera. And to everyone who will be in front of my camera. And to everyone who reads this. And, well to everyone else too! :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

  • congrats to Tashia and Herb! I adore small, intimate weddings. Her dress is adorable too. Love fall colors as well!

  • What an awesome place to get married! Love the picture of their son peeking around the leg.

  • Aw this is so cute! They look so happy and in love. Great job with the photos!

  • Oh man, I totally did that once — got lost on the way to a wedding reception. Thank God my groom had his cell phone on or I probably never would have found the place. Soooooo embarrassing! And I’m soooooo glad you found your way to Tashia and Herb’s wedding! The pictures are beautiful. They’re so lucky you made it! Yaaaaaay! Congratulations, Tashia & Herb!

  • So sweet. And it just makes me so sad to know that our men in uniform often have to leave their families. Wishing the best to this newly married couple!

  • What a sweet family! I love small weddings… so intimate and relaxed at the same time. Congrats to the couple!

  • […] day, October 23rd. Then, I almost didn’t make it to their wedding! If you remember from the teaser post, I got lost. Oh, I was in a panic! That day I didn’t have a GPS with me, so I relied on Tashia […]
