Who is ready for cuteness times three? Yes, Triplets! When I met them at their house, it was overflowing with adorableness. These three had changed so much from my last visit. Not only that, their personalities and smiles had taken over! Lesley & Matt were amazing at keeping the babies entertained and happy while I photographed them. It was a joy getting to capture their sweet smiles and vibrant personalities. :) Okay, enough talking, enjoy this cuteness times three!

How could you not smile back at this image!? :) Cara:  Seriously, how adorable is this?! Matt was behind me with either Harrison or Leah, dancing and getting Cara to laugh. SO sweet:  Leah:  Pretty girl:  I loved this face she made:  Feet!  I love their bright outfits, don’t you? :)  Harrison was OUT! It was pretty adorable:  Bunny?  I think I like it:

Starting a business is hard. I will admit, I knew nothing about running a business in the beginning. Beyond the actual logistics of a business, I wish someone would have enlightened me to these three ideas back then:

  • You aren’t going to begin one day, and have success the next day. Like a lot of different aspects in life, a business takes time to get established.
  • Don’t try to be everything to everyone. You will only hurt yourself (and your loved ones) if you bend and break to fit everyone’s idea of what you should be.
  • If you decide to change your goals later on, that is okay. Don’t get discouraged if you end up taking a different route. You are the creator of your own happiness. If something is not making you happy, reevaluate what you are doing.

All of this sounds so simple, right? It’s really not. If you are like me, you want to be a people pleaser. Until recently, I realized that I can’t please everyone. I can’t make myself love something or do something just because it seems like what I should do. For instance, a while ago I started using a photography product because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. Everyone else (or so I thought) was using it, so I did too. What happened? It didn’t work for me, and that’s a-okay.

My point is, beyond photography & business, none of us are set in our ways. It takes courage and fearlessness to step outside of your comfort zone. Whether that’s by starting a business, or something else, if you want something, go for it. Or, as Nike would say, Just Do It. You will be thankful you took the chance in a week, a month, and a year from now. :)
