Today has been a day of editing, laundry, editing, charging batteries for a wedding tomorrow, editing, and now, blogging. I am so excited to show this wedding. Exactly a year ago last Saturday, Megan commented on Chris’ shoes. She liked them. If she had kept the comment to herself, would they have met? Thankfully, that is a question no one has to find out. From that comment, a date followed, followed by numerous dates, until Chris popped The Question. Of course, how could Megan refuse? He was perfect for her. The comment about the shoes, their whirlwind romance, and their love for each other all led to Saturday: the beginning of their journey as committed partners in life. Megan & Chris wed last Saturday in a beautiful Episcopal church. The day was a little cool with sprinkles of rain, but everyone’s hearts were warm in anticipation of the moment when Chris saw his bride for the first time. I debated on whether I wanted to post their images today or Monday, and I just can’t contain myself any longer! :)

Thank you for having me there, Megan & Chris! I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon and being married. Yay!

Yesterday was what I will call weird. Weirdly Dramatic if you will.

After an impromptu lunch with Ashley & Cooper, I followed behind them on our way to Wal-Greens. And I got rear ended at a stop light, y’all!

It happened so fast, I had to really stop and think, “What just happened?!” Then, I started honking my horn. I know what you are thinking, why did you honk your horn!? But, I was trying to get Ashley’s attention so she could pull over too. I ended up calling her right then too, and then I notice that the guy has put his car in REVERSE!

Yes, he was trying to leave! I immediately jumped out of my car and yelled,

“YOU ARE NOT LEAVING!”

I hung up on Ashley after that phrase and dialed 911 while I approached the guy… who was smiling…

Not only that, he was laughing! He also kept saying how he was on vacation, and then?

THEN PUT HIS CAR IN REVERSE AGAIN!!!

I’m pretty sure I said “YOU ARE NOT LEAVING!” again, and then I stood behind his car. If he was leaving, he was going to have to run me over for real!

I think the fact that HE TRIED TO LEAVE, twice, made me the angrier than the fact that he rear ended me. Who does that!?

I’ll tell you who does that – someone with a suspended license and no insurance – that’s who. And he wasn’t on vacation, either.

So yeah, that part of my day was NOT cool. Thankfully, I’m fine, and my car is fine. It felt worse than it was.

However, after the police came and wrote a report, my day turned around. At Ashley’s house, I photographed Cooper Brian a little bit:

And then I photographed a lovely maternity session with gorgeous afternoon light:

So, that was my day yesterday. :) And just because, here’s a portrait of beautiful Megan that I’m loving from her wedding day last Saturday:

Have a terrific day! :)

I am super excited to share some images from Lauren & Chris’ wedding. You may remember from their engagement session how romantic I believe these two are. Their wedding day confirmed my beliefs. In addition to their heartfelt relationship, the details of the day also felt entirely romantic with pale pink bridesmaids dresses, flowers, decor, etc. And Lauren’s lace dress, paired with her birdcage veil, seriously melted my heart. It was perfect for her!

Their ceremony last Friday at the historic Smith-Trahern mansion was intimate, with closest family & friends in attendance. When Lauren walked down the spiral staircase toward Chris, the entire room felt at peace. It was a sincere and emotional ceremony that everyone felt lucky to attend. After their sunset ceremony, they had even more family & friends awaiting them at their reception. What a FUN reception it was, too! I believe the guys danced just as much, if not more, than all of the ladies. One of my favorite moments, besides the actual ceremony, was their First Dance. Even in a room filled with people, they didn’t take their eyes off each other. :)

It was a pleasure working with Elements Event Planning & Design on this wedding, as well. :)

Have a fantastic Wednesday!
