Olivia’s Bridal Session took place on a beautiful April day, exactly a month before her wedding. On the session I said something to the effect of, “I always have so much fun with you and I’m glad we are friends!” Then I said, “Wait, we are friends right!?” ;) I mean, we’ve had a lot of fun together. Her engagement session with Jeff was one of my favorites, like, ever. They were so patient with my constant question, “Can we stop here for photos, too?!” on the shoot. Tomorrow, it will be a year since her engagement session, which seems crazy to me. I can’t believe it’s been a year! Plus, it’s almost a year since she was a part of my own wedding day, too! Not to mention, she was the make-up artist for my bride, Kimberly as well. :) I mean, I think that qualifies us to be friends, correct? :) Since her bridal session, her wedding took place on May 28th, and it was gorgeous, just like I knew it would be. Click here to see the full recap of that amazing day.

When she told me she wanted to take her bridal portraits at one of the places we went to for their engagement photos, I knew it would be perfect. We had fun inside and outside of the gorgeous farm house. And this time I didn’t lock my keys in my car. ;) Olivia, I can’t thank you enough for being such a wonderful bride, and friend! I’ve had such a nice time with you and your family over the last year. I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful friendship between us. At least, I hope so. ;) Tell Jeff I said hello and I hope you two are enjoying these first few months of marriage!

Happy Monday!

Glamour magazine has a section in their magazines called “Dos & Don’ts” or something to that effect. They always have different questions or statements about fashion asking if it’s a “Do” or a “Don’t.” You know what I would consider a “Do?” Engagement photos after your wedding! Yes, technically it could be called a couple session, but really, it is what you make it. :) I’ve had a few sessions like this, but A & M were the first to actually book an engagement session with me after their wedding. Click HERE to see their September 12th 2010 wedding.

This session was so fun! I love the idea and it’s definitely a “Do” for all of you married folk who didn’t have engagement photos taken. :) Actually, all of you married folk should be scheduling photo shoots regularly anyway, so your kids and grandkids will be able to see the evolution of your life together. ;)

It was nice talking to A & M about life during the shoot. :) I got to know how married life was, what their plans for the summer were (at the time of the shoot it was April. No worries, they have their photos. And yes, I realize that it’s now fall!), and heard how they liked their new town. We all went to the same school and now they live away from here, so it was neat to hear how different their new town is from our small hometown. We actually had the shoot in our county. (Wait, that sounds as if we own it, but we don’t. haha! Oh well, you know what I mean. ;)) They were open to all of my crazy suggestions. For example, I put them in front of a burnt/run-down old building because I loved how neat it looked. They were even okay with sitting on a random tree trunk that found it’s way into the old building. I have no clue how it got there, but it worked out great! And, I’m pretty sure I had them pose in front of someone’s front door. Oops! :) Enjoy!

Have a wonderful day and a safe weekend. :)

Last night, I had a bad dream. It involved male witches. (Can witches even be male??? Actually, I just searched it and males can be witches!) I remember that and that my mom, dad, and sister were with me in my grandmother’s house fighting off the male witches.

Then I awoke to Lexi meowing in my face. Oh, the joy of having a fur-baby!

A few nights ago, I had a really bad dream. Like scary-bad. Like it-could-come-true-bad. Rick asked me what it was about, and I wouldn’t even tell him, that’s how bad it was! However, I did let him know that it was scarier than my recurring troll nightmare.

Yep, ladies & gentlemen, I have a recurring dream about a troll.

Not just any troll, it’s a troll shorter than me! (Well, I’m really tall, so that’s to be expected, and I’m pretty sure all trolls are short anyway.) But, one would think that being almost six feet tall, that I would not be scared of any size trolls in my dreams, especially ones that are shorter than me! ha! This troll chases me around the barn in front of my grandmother’s house. That’s it. That’s all that happens in my scary recurring troll dream. LOL!

Last night, though? I was scared of those male witches flying around outside my grandmother’s house. Freaky stuff. And why do all my nightmares happen at my grandmother’s house!? I love my grandmother’s house!

Regardless, I was very thankful when Lexi meowed in my face this morning. :)

Amber took the above photo of me last week. I like that, apparently, you can see almost ALL of my teeth when I laugh. I never knew that about myself before.

And, it just wouldn’t be a random post without a photo of Lexi Mae:  Happy, Happy Thursday! :)
