Well, Tip Thursday is coming to an end, sort of. It’s been a nice little series and I may revive it every once and a while. However, I am not going to post it regularly. If you have any suggestions for future Tip Thursdays, let me know!

This tip is not going to focus on photography. It’s going to focus on this quote:
The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything. -Theodore Roosevelt

What have you NOT done because you were afraid? Have you NOT chased your dreams? Have you NOT asked for that raise? Have you NOT applied for that job? Is fear getting in your way of making this life really mean something?

Whew, that’s a lot of questions! You obviously do not have to answer them, but the point is to get you thinking. When I started this journey, I was scared to death. Literally. Even though, in my heart I knew this is what I wanted. I felt so nervous and unsure. I still do sometimes. The point is, I am doing what I love. I know I am going to make mistakes. And I know I have made some already! In anything you do, you are going to face obstacles and make mistakes. So, why not try something you really want to do? If the fear of failing or making a mistake is holding you back, it really shouldn’t. You never know what could happen unless you take that chance.

So, what are you waiting for? Do something exciting with your life!

Okay, I know what some might be thinking, “Quit with the encouraging words! I wanna see photos!” And you are in luck! Here are a few photos of my best friend Tiffany’s engagement ring I snapped the other day. Enjoy!

Last Thursday, I spent the afternoon with Kim, Austin, Dylan, and Tyler. Unfortunately, the other half of Kim, my cousin Travis, couldn’t make it, but I got some really cute photos of Kim and her boys. So, it’s teaser time! Just look at all this cuteness.

I didn’t even tell Dylan to kiss Tyler’s hand. He just did it anyway. Sweet!

I’ll have more from their session later, but more teasers coming soon from a maternity session on Saturday and another family session on Sunday.

Have a great day!

Diana e-mailed me about two months ago wanting me to photograph her senior pictures. And I am so thankful she picked me! After having to reschedule three times because of rain, we finally had the photo shoot last Monday at Dunbar Cave and Downtown Clarksville. I believe we had a successful afternoon together. (See images below for proof!)

If I had to pick one word to describe Diana (besides gorgeous, kind, sweet, happy, and beautiful) it would have to be smiley. The entire time I was with her I couldn’t help but smile. The entire time I edited her photos I smiled. And every time I look at these photos I smile. Diana makes people smile. She has a sincere heart and a passion for the Lord. She truly is a joy to be around. She has such a bright and exciting future ahead of her.

Diana, I hope you love these as much as I do! It was so nice to meet you and your mom Lisa. : ) I can’t wait to hang out with you again!

This was the very first shot of the day.

I have curly hair and it frizzes in the summer. I seriously want her hair! So straight, non-frizzy and adorable!
