This has to be the best “how I met my bride” stories ever. I met Alison because our cats are brothers. Yep, we are like sister-wives for cats. Wait, that’s not right! Maybe like sister-mothers for cats? haha! Anyway! When I first went to PetsMart where Nashville Cat Rescue displays their rescue kitties, I saw Finley, a.k.a. Finn. I LOVED him! He was mostly shaved, but I could tell he was a fluff ball. Plus, he had the same name as my dad, so I was instantly attached to him. And plus, orange fluffy kitties are the best! Well, I went home that night and told Rick about him, but Rick was still hesitant. A few days later when Rick finally said “Okay” to getting him, I called and found out he had been adopted, BUT that he had a twin brother named Boswell who was still looking for a forever home. I instantly said YES! without even seeing or meeting him. When I drove to finally meet and pick him up I just couldn’t believe how adorable and identical he looked to Finn. SO uncanny and beautiful. We adopted him and named him Murray Boswell. He really is such a sweet cat, and I know Finn is, too! (Yes, I am rambling on and on about cats! haha!) Anyway! A while later I saw that Nashville Cat Rescue had posted a photo on Facebook of Finn in his new forever home and Alison had commented under it about how he was loving his new home. And, of course, like the crazy cat lady that I am, I messaged her on Facebook. Thus began our sister-mother relationship! ;) Best “how I met my bride” story ever, right?!

And here’s a photo of Murray last night, looking longingly at Finn, who I had my second photographer photograph the morning of the wedding:

Anyway! Fast forward a couple of years and Alison asked me to photograph her wedding. And last Saturday she said “I Do” to her love, Andrew, at his new distillery event space. It was magical and such a fantastic day for everyone! Here’s a preview of their day. More soon! :) Have a great weekend, yall!

I photographed a lovely wedding this Memorial weekend. I also napped. And made breakfast for lunch. So, you know, it was a pretty solid and enjoyable weekend. I will share more images from this wedding later, but here are a few iPhone snaps from the wedding and weekend. Enjoy!

First, on Friday, I had lunch with my friend Jennica, and totally forgot to get a photo! We have to remember next time, Jennica! Then Graham and I made a little trip to the Target Dollar Spot. ;) After a nap (for Graham) and work (for me) we went to dinner at the Marina with our best bud Tiffany.

I had Tiffany help me take Graham’s photo because I loved his outfit that day. Yes, I’m that mom! I’m super thankful for Tiffany’s help and the photos we captured. :) Love her!

Top left photo below is Graham in the Dollar Spot at Target. He’s like “Mom, really? A hat!?” haha! The bottom left photo is a page I colored in a coloring book. Yep, it’s an adult coloring book. Although, I wouldn’t mind coloring in a Disney Princess coloring book every now and then. ;) Anyway! This one has quotes and very intricate designs. It’s so relaxing! I love coloring. I listen to podcasts or music while coloring, too, so I feel like I’m multi-tasking. Ha! Here’s a link to the coloring book for those interested. I actually gave some as gifts for Mother’s Day and they were a huge hit. ;) bethany-ann-photography-film-photographer-nashville-clarksville-tennessee-southern-iphone-weekend-memorial-fun_0002 bethany-ann-photography-film-photographer-nashville-clarksville-tennessee-southern-iphone-weekend-memorial-fun_0003I couldn’t get enough of the bridal suite view! bethany-ann-photography-film-photographer-nashville-clarksville-tennessee-southern-iphone-weekend-memorial-fun_0004A distillery as a backdrop for a wedding? Also, Graham LOVES rubber duckies. This is a fireman rubber duckie and a Dalmatian puppy rubber duckie. ha!

Graham,

Happy 9th Month! Nine months ago we finally met you. We had been dreaming of you for a long time so it seemed a bit surreal that you were finally in our arms. It was quite a life-changing experience, in the best possible way. You screamed most of the first few minutes, and who could blame you? It was bright and cold! Once you got settled you just looked around at everyone and everything. You were so inquisitive. You still are. It’s endearing and hilarious at the same time. You have been a joy since day one, and now it’s hard to believe you were ever as little as in these photos. I love that I don’t really remember what life was like without you because life with you is so, so sweet. You surprise us every day with new tricks and skills. Your latest trick? Standing on your toy chair. Amazing! Your latest skill? Saying “Mama” over and over and over. Daddy thinks that you think everything is named “Mama” and that’s why you like to repeat it. I think it’s because I’m your favorite. ;) Either way, there’s no doubt about who our favorite is. It’s you, little buddy. You light up every time you see one of us. Your daddy and I share knowing glances of “Is this really our amazing baby?!” because we truly know you are such a brilliant baby. We are excited to watch you grow up – just don’t do it too fast, okay? We know you will move mountains with your physicality and intelligence. Always remember that you are whole-heartedly loved forever, no matter what, by your two biggest fans.

Love, Mommy
