I would apologize for this long post, but I’m not going to since it was so difficult trying to trim down my many favorites from Abbey & Chris’ wedding day. They married on an exquisite April day, with just the right amount of warmth and wind. Abbey was thrilled and relaxed; while Chris was ready and down right giddy to see his bride just before their First Look. The decided on two of my all time favorite venues for their ceremony and reception: Scarritt Bennett followed by The Parthenon. Seriously, I could photograph a wedding there every weekend. Well, maybe not every weekend – I do like lazy weekends, too. ;) Anyway, as Abbey & Chris saw each other for the First Look, their bridal party ooo’d and ahhh’d because they are just that sweet of a couple. It’s evident not only how they interact with each other, but how they interact with their friends and family. They had such a kind bridal party, too! Everyone wanted to make sure the day ran smoothly and helped out in anyway possible. My second photographer and I even had help from a groomsmen in gathering the bouquets for the bouquet shot. I could go on and on, but really, they were all awesome!
They wed as the sun was low in the sky, and had a ceremony that truly represented their lives becoming one. They shared communion and fellowship, while taking moments to look around and enjoy it all. It was one of the most cheerful, and memorable ceremonies I’ve captured. Their reception details were impeccable. Blue, gold, silver, and white hues accented the entire room, along with glitter on some of the centerpieces. Her classic, sophisticated vision really stunned not only me, but also everyone there. The entire reception was also lit up with a gorgeous lavender hue, and added a romantic flare to an already romantic affair. The huge statue of Athena, in her gold, grand glory, even seemed to pale in comparison to the grandeur of Abbey & Chris, and their love. It was wonderful to be a part of. Thank you, Abbey & Chris! Enjoy my many, many favorites. :)
