Funny Friday Finds

Hasn’t this week went by so fast!?! I can’t believe it’s Friday already. I will probably spend the day on the computer editing while my batteries charge for tomorrow’s wedding. However, I wanted to post a few funny finds that I’ve collected over the last few weeks. Some are from Pinterest and some I found on Facebook. Here’s to hoping they make you smile and get you ready for the weekend! :)

I can’t wait until we can get a dog. I bet this will be Lexi: Rick always says that I push him out of the bed. I wish I knew who made this so I could credit him/her, but this pretty much sums up Rick’s description of our sleeping arrangements: True friends don’t care about the cat hair or dust on my hardwood floors:

Courtney & Joe – Nashville Engagement Photographer

I have decided the only way to get back into blogging after a couple of weeks of near silence is to just jump on in.

Meet Courtney & Joe! I met Courtney on the day of the engagement session and found out she is the cousin of one of my high school BFFs, Samantha. So cool! We met at Riverside for a few images and walked down to the spot where Joe proposed. He made sure no one was around until he pledged his love to her. And of course she said yes! These two just get each other, and have so much fun together. I love engagement sessions because it brings out the lovey-dovey-ness of couples. :) I adored her dress and the hints of Tiffany blue in it. His red shirt with that blue complimented each other wonderfully. I even remember telling her how pretty the colors were translating in my camera, and she told me that those are the wedding colors, too! I can’t wait to see all of the wedding decor next year. :) After a few fun images at Riverside, we went to Dunbar Cave. I have to admit, I was stoked when I saw Courtney’s second outfit! She’s a UK fan, too! ;) When we strolled down the trail at Dunbar Cave, a few duck friends followed us. Super sweet! They thought we had food or something because of my camera bag around my shoulder, I guess. :) Anyway, enjoy these and a few more on the slideshow at the end. And thank you, Courtney & Joe, for having me along for your wedding day!!! :)

Granddaddy

You lived an extraordinary life.

82 years young.

You hated having your photo taken, but you enjoyed looking at other people’s photos.

You loved handheld electronic games, and Bonanza.

You hated cats, which was the one thing I always wanted to change about you. ;)

You were of great health until this past year. 81 out of 82 is a phenomenal record.

I will always remember your jokes, your laugh, your smile that lit up a room. And especially your hugs. Your bear hugs that made everyone feel safe.

I am so grateful to have captured this image of you last Thanksgiving. It was right before the fight of your life, throat cancer, but you won.

You won that battle, and we were all so proud of you when we heard the news this summer.

Your body was just tired this time, and even though it’s hard for us to understand, we know that you aren’t suffering anymore. We know we will see you again.
