The heat turned on.

Trees vibrant with color. Red, yellow & orange leaves slowly making their final flight to the ground.

Sunset at six. Dinner in the crockpot. Blankets on the couch. Rick’s hand in mine.

Yes, fall is my favorite time of the year.

Kayla, Josh & Rudy – Anniversary Shoot + A Surprise!

I had the honor of photographing Kayla & Josh’s wedding in July 2011. Since then, we have all become friends & I just adore them! Plus, their son, Rudy is so handsome and loads of fun. :) This summer we met up for an anniversary family shoot and a little surprise reveal at the end. ;)

We took these at Dunbar Cave and then they took me out to lunch. They are soooo sweet and I just love them! Our session went amazingly well. They are so photogenic, and of course we got to catch up on how all the details of their 1st year of marriage. Plus, Rudy had a blast chasing all the geese around. Our session made me wish we lived closer to each other, but that’s what technology is for! Enjoy their images and the special reveal towards the end. ;)

Woo Hoo!! Can’t wait to meet the new addition next year. :) Congratulations, you two!!!

Happy 2 Years of marriage, Rick!

You are the best husband ever!
Thank you for taking care of me when I’m sad, sick or in a cranky mood.
Thank you for listening to me when I tell you about my irrational fears. Thank you for telling me stories to take my mind off of those irrational fears. Thank you for laughing at my corny jokes. (Example: What did the baby corn say to the mom corn? Where’s popcorn!? ;) )

Thank you for allowing me to follow my dreams and be a crazy cat mom. Thank you for loving me every day, even if most of those days involve me in pajamas all day long. Thank you for being you!

Here’s to 98 more anniversaries and lots of fun along the way!

We had a First Look and I love his expression here: Fall is my favorite time of year, and I just loved all of the colors on our day. :) Woo Hoo! Marriage started out fun as evident by the photo on the left and it has only gotten better:
