Good Monday Morning!

I don’t know why, but for some reason, no matter how tired I am, lately I’ve been loving Monday Mornings! It’s the start of the week and anything is possible. How refreshing is that?! I got up this morning after a total of about 3 and a half hours of sleep and I feel ready to take on the world! :)

So is Lexi:

She loves stealing pens. :)

Anyway, I’ve been thinking of this idea that you can tell a lot about a person by their key chain.

Here’s what’s on mine:

So, of course, I have a mini camera key chain. :) The “Bottoms Up!” moose bottle opener was a gift from my parents when they took a cruise to Alaska last summer. And the rest of the items are standard: keys to my house, car keys, and a Kroger shopper’s card. (I actually don’t like Kroger that much. I prefer Wal-Mart.)

In other news, I joined Pinterest Friday. For the longest time, I spelled it Pintrest, not realizing it had an extra E in there. So funny! If you would like to follow my Pinterest account, click HERE.

My initial thought about Pinterest? “Eh.”

Literally, it’s just, “eh.”

Right now, I’m not a big fan because 1) It’s so overwhelming. Different categories, different pins, different links, different-ness. 2) I thought because of the hype, it would have more to it. I don’t know what, just more. Actually, I wanted magic, and right now, magic ain’t happening. 3) Facebook connected all of my friends with a Pinterest account to my “follow” list and nearly half of my friends are on there. So, I have been weeding out people. Trust me, looking at 500 followers “pins” is part of the ‘overwhelming’ factor. I’ve got it down to 162 or something, but even then, it’s a lot to take in. I can only spend about 15 minutes before I find myself overwhelmed, yet again.

And because I bored you with my love of Monday Mornings, my “eh-ness” for Pinterest, key chain thoughts, and Lexi Mae photos, here’s a photo I captured yesterday of Ashley & Justin:

More from their session later. For now, go outside and enjoy this beautiful day!

Good morning! I know I’ve been a little quiet on the blog this week, but I promise, it’s for a good cause. This wedding! I wanted to get this gorgeousness out to you as soon as I could, and BAM, it’s here. :)

I just love my brides! Seriously, they are amazing. If I had to decide one word to fit both Molly & Dave, it would be lively. They were so, so very excited about their wedding day and having a good time. The only times I ever saw Molly and Dave without a smile, was when I told them to have a serious smile for a photo – and then after that they would erupt in laughter, because “being serious” just isn’t them. I have a ton of wonderful photos of them laughing, which is so them. I love it when a couple is that relaxed on their wedding day. The photos end up being true depictions of who they are, not just on their wedding day, but every day. And Molly & Dave are fun, inviting, and beyond that, friendly. They booked me via e-mail/mail and then a month later, when they came into town, we were able to meet face to face and as soon as Molly stepped out of the truck, she had a smile brighter than the sun. I’m serious, y’all! I could photograph her every day! :) And then Dave? Well, how could one not smile back at such a true beauty, inside & out? A few days after we met, I had the loveliest e-mail from Molly thanking me and letting me know she was super excited to have me a part of their wedding day. Can I just say that made me a little teary?! Cause it did. :) And their wedding? It was as bright and vibrant as her smile. It was as genuine and friendly as his demeanor. It was the type of wedding day that family, friends & vendors alike will look back and want to relive again and again. And plus, who can forget your First Dance? Amazing!!!

Thank you, Molly & Dave, for allowing me to capture your wedding! :)

Have a wonderful Friday & weekend.

This family is SO precious. Seriously, so precious! I walked into their house and all of the boys, Nate, Clifton, Grady, Miles, & JP were sitting on the couch ready and happy about having their photos taken. It was so sweet! The oldest girl, Kinley, was helping Cassie & Conrad with the newest family member, Alissa Kate. I know Kinley loves her brothers, but is super happy to have a sister! :) She was the doting big sister and very helpful. Cassie, the sister of one of my grooms, Adam, contacted me shortly before Ali was born, about these images and two weeks after sweet Ali was born, we met up in December. We took the first set at their home with a focus on Ali, and then took some of the whole gang in town. All of the kids were troopers, because even though it was sunny, it wasn’t the warmest day we’ve had. Again, such an amazing family! I loved photographing each of them and seeing how much they all adore their new little sister. :)

So, without further ado, meet, Cassie, Conrad, Kinley, Nate, Clifton, Grady, Miles, JP, & Ali:

Have a great rest of your day,
