July 5th. A wonderful holiday weekend date for a wedding! I remember being so excited about booking this wedding a year and a half before since the couple was just so sweet, and the day proved to be even more magical than I hoped. C & her mom had made so many different DIY elements of the wedding day, and the attention to details really paid off. I really liked the pinwheel seat place cards! Such a cool idea. They also crafted different chalkboard signs helping guests to explore their reception venue, Houston Station. They had a music room, a bar, a coffee station, a family photograph station, and so much more! It was a really great experience as the photographer, so I bet being a guest would have been ten times better! Although, I do have a pretty great job. ;)
Both C & J were super relaxed and calm on their wedding day. C had a constant smile and laughed the entire day! Well, except when she cried tears of happiness when opening J’s present. ;) J and his groomsmen had my second photographer and I laughing all. day. long! They were ready and excited for the photos, which is sometimes hard when it’s hot outside. The entire bridal party had such fun personalities that they could’ve hard less about the weather. They were there to support C & J. Both families were super welcoming, and I just loved C’s dad’s speech. I also really enjoyed the best man’s speech. Talk about hilarious! Looking back on the images now, months later, it makes me hope for more weddings like this one. :) Enjoy my favorites below!
