Samantha & Joe – Engagement Session

Samantha saw my images from her hairstylist’s wedding, which happened to be Olivia & Jeff. I love asking how people find my photography, and I was so glad Samantha found me. :) Joe surprised Samantha with a ring earlier this year, and they are planning a fall 2014 wedding. But, don’t worry S + J, it will be here before you know it. Time flies! I can’t believe it’s almost the middle of October for goodness sake. :) Anyway! We met early one morning at Joe’s family farm. I had so much fun exploring their land. Plus, it was nice to be in the country! Living in the land of suburbia now has made me thankful for my country roots. ;) Samantha had lots of wonderful ideas for the shoot, and I loved meshing her vision and mine with different scenes of the farm. Thank you, S + J! I had a blast!

Camille & Trent’s Wedding – Franklin, TN Photographer

August 24th turned out to be a gorgeous and fabulous day for Camille & Trent to get married. You may remember them from their engagement session last year. Or, you may remember I posted Camille’s bridal session shortly after they were married. Since they booked me a little over a year before their wedding, I got to know and love Camille & Trent over the last year! And, anyone who knows them, how could you not love them?

Camille & I Skyped the first time we ‘met’ and then we met officially at her engagement session. The first thing she did was give me a big hug! I believe I talked about this in the engagement blog, but Camille & Trent are just so easy going! They laugh, smile, and hug constantly and it’s such a joy to see. I love when a couple are whole-heartedly together, no matter what they are doing. They are in the moment type of people, loving and beyond kind. I met Camille’s parents before the wedding, and knew she inherited their kindness. When I met Trent’s family, it was obvious where he got his easy going and kind personality, too!

Not only that, but Camille & Trent, along with their family & friends, were so helpful and sincere on the day of the wedding. My second photographer, Jac, and I felt the love, too! Everyone wanted to make sure Camille & Trent’s day went off without a hitch. We also have to thank Elements Event Planning & Design for that! They are the fabulous coordinators who connected Camille, Trent & I. Thank you!

Camille & Trent, thank you times a million! I wish you all the best, and I’m so happy to have captured your love. :) Enjoy your images and a few more on the slideshow at the end!

Melanie & Steven’s Wedding – Franklin, TN Photographer

Melanie & Steven were married on a day that was supposed to be rainy and cloudy, but it ended up being sunny and warm. All of the details came together effortlessly.

I mean effortlessly in that from the outside, it looked as if every little item made it exactly where Melanie & Steven envisioned for months. I don’t want to downplay it. I know that every wedding requires a ton effort, blood, sweat, and probably tears, too. It’s just that, for this wedding, Melanie & Steven, and their family & friends, made the day appear, and feel effortless. A feeling of calm seemed to float in the air for everyone. It was a happy day, a day that Melanie & Steven will tell their grandchildren about. And hopefully, a few framed images below will be past down for generations to come. :)

Thank you, Melanie & Steven! You two are insanely adorable with sincere hearts. It was a joy to watch you begin the rest of your lives together!

You know I love a First Look!!!! We were able to finish all the images before hand, and have a few minutes of bride & groom portraits after the ceremony. ;)
